Career Guidance

The top-most priority of various departments at Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management is to mould an attitude of career consciousness among the students that would percolate down to sensible personality traits. In addition, for a better understanding of the curriculum by the students, expert talks are arranged frequently towards motivation of the students and to fine-tune their attitudes. Few talks organized as a part of Career Guidance includes-

‘Attitude is everything’ Talk was delivered by Mr. Panduranga Rao of IVRCL, India.
‘IT Sector Vs Core Sector’ by Anthony Reddy, GM HR, Honeywell
‘How to crack Campus Drive’ by Dr. Suman Bhattacharya, Head Training, TCS.
‘Building Career’ by TM Sundaram, GM HR, Sundaram Brake Lining.
 

The Career Guidance cell is managed by dynamic faculties(Career Guidance & Scholarship Committee) who have developed specific NAAC for the Cell. They manage the cell on a rotation basis. The cell functions 2 hours in the evening every day and is equipped with internet connected personal computers. The students have full access to different kinds of career literature including regular publications, books, news-letters and journals. They get dedicated internet facilities and have regular discussions with the career counsellors.

Successes of Career Guidance Cell-

• Students secured PG / PhD seats in universities of repute outside India
• Students achieved excellent scores in GATE to secure seats in IITs.
• Students qualified for PSU jobs, Govt. of India jobs and done exceedingly well in Civil Service and Engineering Services Examinations.
• Students setting-up their own entrepreneurship ventures.
