We are delighted to announce the commencement of the Van Mahotsav Week celebration at GITAM College! This auspicious occasion, observed annually, symbolizes our dedication to environmental conservation and the spirit of nurturing our green heritage. Van Mahotsav, also known as the Forest Festival, is a significant environmental festival celebrated across India. It was initiated in the early 1950s by Dr. K. M. Munshi, the renowned freedom fighter and environmental enthusiast. The event aims to raise awareness about the importance of trees and forests in maintaining ecological balance and promoting sustainable living.
